The catalog would include photographs of various aspects of the project as well as essays. These essays would probably be the only part of the project that formally involve neuroscience. As for the hoped-for texts, contributions from folks such as cognitive psychologist Jonathan Schooler (UC-Santa Barbara), philosopher David Chalmers (NYU), and psychiatrist Giulio Tononi (University of Wisconsin-Madison) would be sought out: these are all folks who are considering consciousness and subjectivity in subtle non-reductive ways.
Something from a theologian or scholar of comparative religions would also be desirable (first stop would be connections within the Episcopalian and Zen communities).
Finally, the catalog would be the print home of the foundation document for the project.
While the catalog might take the form of print-on-demand (as yet undecided) it absolutely should not be an e-book: art books don’t do well in the aether and it would be undesirable to bring even more lack of materiality to the subject of “Why am I still here?
